The 30 days is rolling, not calendar. If $150 of deposits sit anywhere in the 30 days before the 1st, you're in. Skip a month with no top-up and you skip that month's red packet — but the next month re-checks from scratch.
Drops on the 1st, UTC
Payouts run at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each calendar month. If your timezone is far from UTC the local clock might say the 31st when it lands — check the wallet, not the clock.
Same band, same amount
Bronze I, II and III all earn $8 a month. The I / II / III ranks change when your next upgrade bonus drops — they don't change the monthly red packet at all. To bump the figure you have to climb a full band.
Newcomer earns $0
The red packet starts at Bronze. Newcomers get the welcome bonus and the 2% weekly cashback rate, but no monthly drop until the first band-up.
1× rollover on the red packet only

Do I need to claim the red packet manually?

No. At 00:00 UTC on the 1st of every month, XYES looks at whatever VIP band your account is on and drops the red packet straight into your wallet as real cash. No claim button, no email, no waiting on a human. If nothing lands on the 1st, the most likely reason is the deposit gate — check whether at least $150 of deposits hit your account in the trailing 30 days.

What does the $150 / 30-day deposit gate actually mean?

You need at least $150 of deposits (or local-currency equivalent) in the rolling 30 days before payout. Rolling, not calendar — if it's the 1st of June and you deposited $150 anywhere between May 2 and June 1, you're in. The total can come from one large deposit or several smaller ones; only real money deposits count, not bonuses.

Why are Bronze I, II and III all paid the same $8?

The monthly red packet is keyed on band, not on the I / II / III rank inside it. The sub-ranks change when your next upgrade bonus unlocks — they don't change the monthly red packet at all. To bump the figure you have to climb a full band: Bronze → Silver, $8 → $50.

Does this stack with the weekly cashback?

Yes — they're independent promotions paid on different days. The weekly cashback lands every Sunday at 00:00 UTC based on your weekly net loss; the monthly red packet lands on the 1st at 00:00 UTC based on your VIP band. A Diamond player on a $5,000 losing month, for example, sees roughly $350 in weekly cashback (4× the 7% rate) plus the $400 red packet — both fully withdrawable after their respective 1× rollovers.

What happens if I level up mid-month?

Whatever band your account sits at when the calendar flips to the 1st is what gets paid. Climb from Silver III to Gold I on the 28th and the very next 1st pays $100 instead of $50. Hit the new band on the 2nd instead and you'll wait the whole next month — but every month after that pays the bigger figure, so it's worth pushing before the cutoff.

How long does it take to clear the 1× rollover?

1× of the red-packet amount, played on real money slots or table games, in any single sitting. A $50 Silver red packet means $50 of wagering and you're done — that cash plus anything you've won on top is yours to withdraw. The standard wagering window is usually 30 days, but at 1× even a Hero $800 red packet clears in under an hour of normal play.
