What happened to e-sabong?
PAGCOR’s current regulatory overview says that, under the Executive Secretary’s memorandum dated May 3, 2022, all e-sabong operations are suspended. PAGCOR’s separate e-sabong page contains historical manuals and operator material; players should not read those archived references as a current operator list.
Does PAGCOR list any authorized e-sabong operator now?
We found none on the two public online-gaming brand-and-domain lists used for the Philippines reviews. That is a status check, not a court finding. A website, Facebook page or chat group showing a PAGCOR logo still needs an exact-domain match to a current official record.
Do not send a password, OTP, ID copy or “release fee” to an account found in comments or private messages.
Sabong apps, themed games and GCash
- App-store games: simulation games without real-money live-fight betting are not the same product as suspended e-sabong operations.
- Casino games with sabong themes: a theme inside a listed casino lobby does not by itself mean the operator offers live e-sabong.
- GCash or Maya: a payment tile is not authorization. BSP instructed supervised institutions to remove links that provide in-app access to gambling sites in August 2025.
How to check and report a site
- 1. Save the exact hostname
Include redirects, screenshots, chat records and payment references.
- 2. Use a verified route
Confirm the current PAGCOR or law-enforcement reporting page before sending evidence. Contact the payment provider if money moved.

FAQ
Online sabong questions
Is online sabong legal in the Philippines?
PAGCOR does not currently authorize online sabong: PAGCOR’s current regulatory overview states that all e-sabong operations have been suspended since May 3, 2022. We found no current e-sabong operator on the public online-gaming lists dated October 20, 2026. This is not legal advice.
When did PAGCOR suspend e-sabong operations?
PAGCOR cites a memorandum from the Executive Secretary dated May 3, 2022 as the basis for suspending all e-sabong operations.
Does PAGCOR publish a current e-sabong operator list?
We found no current e-sabong operator on the public online-gaming brand-and-domain lists used for this check. PAGCOR’s e-sabong page contains historical regulatory material, so it should not be read as a current operator list.
Does a PAGCOR logo prove an online sabong site is authorized?
No. Match the exact hostname to a current official record. A copied logo, certificate image, Facebook page or chat claim does not establish authorization.
What risks come with sending money to an unlisted operator?
The operator identity, payment route and dispute path may be unclear. Keep screenshots and transaction references, and do not send passwords, OTPs or additional release fees.
Can GCash or Maya prove a sabong site is legitimate?
No. A payment tile is not a license or endorsement. It does not prove the receiving operator is listed or that funds can be recovered.
Where can a player report an online sabong site?
Start from the PAGCOR Responsible Gaming page, which links to its Online Gaming Platform Helpdesk and illegal-site reporting routes. Contact the payment provider when money was sent, and do not rely on recovery agents found in comments or chat groups.
What records should a player keep before reporting?
Keep the exact URL, screenshots, chat messages, account identifiers with private fields redacted, transaction references, dates and the response from the operator or payment provider.
